FLEET TOURNAMENT
The registration is opened to all, in order to participate is necessary to enrol and having updated Virtual skipper 4 and download the following maps:

ELIMINATING ROUNDS:

SEMIFINALS:
WAVE2007_S_F5

It is possible only to participate with a single boat, who enrolled itself with more nick and immediately will be disqualified.
It will be a fleet contest,
boats ACC will be used, using the maps established from the Committee and rules ISAF will be applied.

ELIMINATING PHASE : ROUNDS (6 turns)

The tournament will have a maximum of 5 turns, every turn will be composed from 12 skippers, every turn will have 3 fleet race (one for every field), for a total of 18 contests (on final the worse result of a turn will be discarded).
At the end of every tournament (of the 6 previewed), new turns will be based on general classifies with the criterion shown below in the SEMIFINAL section.
At the end of 6th turn, calculating the five better turns of the skippers, it will have the final results and the first 24 of this rank will pass to the SEMIFINAL.

SEMIFINALS (4 turns)

The SemiFinal will be played in 12 fleet races, it will be 4 turns, three race to turn, on a every field (at the end the worse result of a turn will be discarded).
The 24 skippers will be distributed in the 2 turns based on general rank, as it follows:

ROUND1: 1° - 3° - 5° - 7° - 9° - 11° -13° - 15° - 17° - 19° - 21° - 23°
ROUND2: 2° - 4° - 6° - 8° - 10° - 12° - 14° - 16° - 18° - 20° - 22° - 24°

At the end of 4° the turn, calculating the 3 better turns to skipper, it will have the general rank and the 8 skippers best classified will pass to Final.

FINALS (4 turns)

The Final will be played in 12 Fleet races, in SIMULATION mode (4 turns, three races for turn, one for every map) and the three worse results will be discarded.

ELIMINATING ROUNDS:

tuesday 27/2 - tuesday 6/3 - tuesdays 13/3

SEMIFINALS:
tuesday 27/3 - tuesday 3/4 - tuesdays 10/4 - tuesday 17/4

FINALS:
tuesday 8/5 - tuesday 15/5 - tuesdays 22/5 - tuesdays 29/5


The contests will have a fixed appointment the TUESDAY (see calendar) to hours 22,30 and will be launch within 22:45. It is advised to meet other players in the visubox of the site www.lupidimare.org.

Any change of the scheduled time or the day of the start of a turn, must be communicated to the committee and all the skippers involved in that turn, all the skippers must agree to change the scheduled task; all change must communicate in the forum of the site www.lupidimare.org.

In order to verify the availability to change the scheduled starts, it will be used the forum where every skippers will declare his understanding,
if just one skipper will not agree to change the scheduled time, the original scheduled time will be carried out as fixed and must be guaranteed the number of previewed turns.
The skippers they could be reach an agreement, even to change of 30 mins the previewed timetable.

In case a turn will be not played, all the 3 previewed contests, the committee will communicate the new date in order to recover the remaining contests.
At new date of the contests will participate the skippers exclusively presents to the official appointment.
All the skippers of the turn participate to the new contest race date , only in the case that no contest has been played in the official date.

In no case after the start (also pre-start time) it will be possible to restart a race contest, nobody has the right to ask it and to make it, is not correct in the comparisons of the skippers that compete in the others turns, being the rank unique.

Before the start exclusively for disconnections and serious and obvious misalignments, that they could compromise the correct development of the contest is possible to re-start.
The winner, or other skipper, after the last contender has reached the finish line, must make the photo of the arrival order and save the replay
the photo with the rank of arrival and the replay will have to be sent to the committee in a short time,
this to have a clarifications in case of protests.

At the skipper that disconnect in contest, will be assigned the last position in the race

In case of same points between the skippers, the skipper who will have more victories will have the best rank .

ISAF Rules and VSK


Skipper can forward a protest Only if the virtual Judge of VSK4 assigns a penalty and a skipper thinks, in conformity to ISAF rules, that penalty was wrong..

EXCEPTION is applied at ARRIVAL line,

VSK4 when a boat arrives on the line arrival does not assign penalty, and if a skipper damages a challenger on the arrival line, denieing other skippers to finish the course or causing delay, so the skipper damaged can forward a protest even if the virtual judge does'nt apply any penalty

PROTESTS and Repairs in water

Skipper that thinks to have received an unjust penalty from the server will be able to forward protest in contest writing in chat of VSK “P” and if necessary to clarify towards who it is the protest.
the contestant will have reply YES” or “NO, if it answers “YES” it will make soon as possible a penalty turn, if it answers “NO”, he will continue, but if the Committee will judge the protest in favour of the skipper who raise the protest, he will have one penalization of 30 sec. on the final rank of the contest.

PROTESTS and REPAIRS after the race

At the end of the contest the protest must be forwarded to the Committee and the contestant through email.
We advise to put a post on the forum of the Lupidimare site.
All the skipper that think to have received an unjust penalty can ask the repair.

The Committee will verify all the cases, also those that have received the “SI” from the contestant and if it will be verified that the penalty was right the repair will not will be granted.
The repair for the unjust penalties, carried out of upwind is, of 15 sec. and 20 sec. in downwind.

APPENDIX A (rules ISAF)

A6 MODIFICATIONS of the places and the scores of the other boats
A6.2 If the committee for a protests decides to grant to repair adapting the score of a boat, the positions of the other boats not involved in the protest, will not change, but that the committee for the protests will decide in various way.
Therefore an eventual repair will not declass who, external to the facts contests , has conquered on the field a position, will be had simply of the parity one.

UNFAIRNESS

The responsible of a serious and voluntary unfairness will be placed to the last place of that one race (NP = 0 points),
and it will have a penalization from 3 to 5 points on rank at end of the session that he is playing (tournaments, semi-final or final), that is after the worse discard position... with three penalizations it is excluded from the Wave.

Commitee will not allow any kind of offensive phrases even in the races even in the forum or in any kind of form inside the tournment. Responsible of that acts will be banned from the wave

 

The committee will examine exclusively resorted documents with replays.
